We’re hearing more about the two teams that will side off against each other in Captain America: Civil War. CBM has four exclusive pieces of promo art, which show a superhero trust divided. And while similar to previous rumors, this latest sneak peek offers a little twist, hinting at the story that will unfold next May, kicking off the 2016 summer movie season. Be warned, this is a pretty massive SPOILER, but it will likely be confirmed before the movie is released.
Fans have been speculating about who will side with Team Rogers, and who will side with Team Stark, ever since the sequel Captain America: Civil War was announced last year. Though Marvel has remained quiet about the details, we now have a better understanding of will be sliding over to fight alongside Captain America, while Iron Man seems to be taking anyone he can get. CBM has released not only the four pieces of concept art, but also a comprehensive video that explains exactly what it is we’re seeing here.
Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) will of course have War Machine (Don Cheadle) on his side, as they are longtime friends and partners. More surprising is the fact that Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is coming over to team Stark, as she has pretty tight alliances and deep personal relationships with both Captain America and Hawkeye. Vision is expected, even though he is a New Avenger. He is Tony Stark’s ‘son’, after all. The final member of Tony Stark’s Civil War team is Black Panther. In the comic books, T’Challa stayed neutral, never choosing a side. But now, when it comes to the Sokovia Accords (aka the Superhero Registration Act), he feels strongly that each individual superhero should make their identity known, and be held responsible for their actions.
Check out the stars of Avengers: Age of Ultron messing up their lines, swearing, making out, and basically goofing off on the set in the Marvel sequel’s full-length (and hilarious) blooper reel which has leaked online in great quality ahead of home release.
Steve Rogers and Tony Stark will be at each other’s throats in the latest Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War.
The Avengers duo – played by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. – find themselves at loggerheads in the forthcoming Marvel blockbuster as long-standing relationships begin to unravel in dramatic fashion.
New footage from the superhero epic, which pulls together some of the biggest characters (new and old) in the MCU, was presented August 15 at Disney’s D23 expo in Anaheim.
Civil War will reportedly introduce Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man into the MCU before he branches off into his own solo movie in 2017.
Captain America: Civil War will be released in the UK on April 29, 2016 and in the US on May 6.
Unfortunately our current fansite host Starszz is closing down. I’ve found out that the site will be open to the public only until tomorrow (August 10th) and than will be closed permanently. But don’t panic (as I did)… I’ve already bought a new domain name and I am currently backing up all the sites data and finding a new host. It will take some time, but we are not closing – we will have a brand new URL that will be Robert-Downey-Jr.net and once everything is set up, you’ll be able to view the site just like normal.
Robert Downey Jr. earned a mind-boggling $80 million this year, landing him the top spot on Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest-Paid Actors for the third year in a row.
What does one have to accomplish to achieve such an esteemed Hollywood accolade? Well for starters, playing one of the most popular superheroes of all time can’t hurt!
Although the 50-year-old only appeared in two films from June 2014 to June 2015 — The Judge and Avengers: Age of Ultron — his global star power undoubtedly helped carry both box office hits all the way to the money tree. Avengers: Age of Ultron ranked in $1.4 billion worldwide, and Forbes estimates Downey will earn $40 million for his upcoming Iron Man reprisal in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
“This fantasy life that I get to have, making these movies, the nice thing is when some of the fantasy from the films turns into reality, a technological reality,” Downey told E! News back in April.
In addition to starring on the big screen, the hunky actor plays father to 21-year-old Indio, and two little ones, 3-year-old Exton and 8-month-old Avri, with wife Susan Downey.
Jackie Chan earned the No. 2 spot on Forbes’ list, falling $30 million short of a gold medal, and Vin Diesel‘s $47 million payday, mostly from the success of Furious 7, landed him a third place ranking. Bradley Cooper ($41.5 million) and Adam Sandler ($41 million) rounded out the top five.
Marvel still hasn’t officially announced when Avengers: Age of Ultron will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD yet, but a new Blu-ray trailer has surfaced from JW Trailers, which reveals that the blockbuster will debut on Digital HD September 8, and on Blu-ray and DVD October 8. The trailer also reveals that there will be “45 minutes of exclusive content” such as deleted scenes, a gag reel and a teaser for Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. We also get a look at some of the behind-the-scenes footage, featuring a glimpse of the makeup process that Paul Bettany went through for his Vision costume.
Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest superhero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
The team behind “The Judge” is taking on the political scene next as Team Downey’s Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey, and screenwriter Bill Dubuque are developing an untitled presidential debate dramedy for Warner Bros.
Dubuque will pen the script with Downey Jr., Downey and David Gambino producing for Team Downey, along with Mark Williams.
The comedic drama is set in the high-stakes backdrop of three presidential debates where millions of dollars and months of campaigning come down to 270 minutes of highly scrutinized political theatre.
The original idea was hatched by Team Downey and Dubuque. No actors or director are currently attached to the project.
“The Judge” resulted in an Academy Award nomination for Downey Jr.’s co-star, Robert Duval.
Team Downey recently announced that Paul Thomas Anderson would be writing their reimagining of “Pinocchio,” while Dubuque’s scripted thriller “The Accountant,” starring Ben Affleck, just wrapped shooting.
Captain America: Civil War is continuing to shoot in Atlanta, where Marvel’s Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are going to come to blows over the Superhero Registration Act. The latest set photos hint that Cap may have the upper hand. Star Robert Downey Jr. is seen sporting a face that has been beaten and bloodied. Is Rogers the one responsible?
Captain America: Civil War will give us an epic brawl between Iron Man and Captain America. Though, we have yet to see this tussle even hinted at in any leaked set photos. Is this our first evidence of their clash? Or has Tony run into other unfortunate problems that have found him on the opposite end of a good ol’ fashion butt kicking?
Robert Downey Jr. is seen here posing with fans, and it’s all the proof we need that Tony Stark is going to tempt fate, or possibly anger the wrong person with one of his witty quips. Whoever is involved, it’s safe to say that this week’s shoot will be devoted to this action scene.
Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads a new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team.
The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.
Warner Bros. and Team Downey are moving forward with their live-action take on Pinocchio and have enlisted Paul Thomas Anderson to write a draft with an eye toward directing.
Though the film would seem far outside of Anderson’s wheelhouse, the move shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Downey was poised to star in Anderson’s Inherent Vice until his Avengers: Age of Ultron obligations got in the way and Joaquin Phoenix stepped in to play the lead. Downey and Anderson are good friends and have been looking to work together for some time.
The Giver writer Michael Mitnick penned the latest draft of Pinocchio, and Downey has been quietly tweaking the script for the past six months. Downey has been developing Pinocchio for years, but the project has found new urgency in the wake of a string of live-action hits based on kids’ classics, most recently Disney’s Cinderella.
Ever since auteur Tim Burton turned Alice in Wonderland into a billion-dollar live-action franchise and the Angelina Jolie starrer Maleficent earned $758 million worldwide last year, the studios have been angling to set up projects based on live-action kids’ tales, with A-list directors flocking to the projects across town.
